We know that families have options when making decisions about education for their children. And, now some families living outside the boundaries of the district have an option to choose Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District (C-FB ISD) because of limited open enrollment.
The district has designated two areas for limited open enrollment. Only families living in these two areas outside the C-FB ISD boundaries are eligible for the open enrollment program.
Area 1:
The cities of Coppell and Valley Ranch west of C-FB ISD boundaries, south of Sandy Lake Road, east of Denton Tap/Beltline Road North, and north of Interstate 635.
Students living in Area 1 who are entering grades kindergarten through grade 9 in fall 2013 may make an application for open enrollment to the following schools:
- Riverchase Elementary: kindergarten through grade 5
- Barbara Bush Middle School: grades 6 through grade 8
- Ranchview High School: grade 9
Transfer enrollment to each school is limited to building capacity and grade-level staff limits.
Area 2:
The city of Farmers Branch outside the C-FB ISD boundaries
