School Programs that the Student Assistance
Program provides is in one of several categories. These
prevention programs fit into either Drug/Alcohol
Prevention or Violence Prevention.
EE-5: Red
Ribbon Week Campaign Activities, Violence Prevention
Activities throughout the year.
PK-5:WHO
(We Help Ourselves), anti-victimization program.
PK-5: Identification & Referral,
support program for Violence & Drug Prevention.
PK-5: Crisis
Counseling & Violence/Drug Intervention-Assessment/Referral.
PK-5:Character
Education, C-FB ISD Curriculum.
K-5: Drug
Education information/prevention is integrated
into the Health Curriculum. DAVE is presented
and taught.
K-5: Drug
and Violence Prevention Programs delivered
to large/small groups in classrooms and one-time
assemblies.
K-5: Various
programs where the area Police Dept.'s provide
on-going programs for violence & drug prevention.
3-5: Peer
Mediation, school teams facilitated by
trained staff.
5: PALS
(H.S. students acting as Peer Assistance Leaders).
4-5: Surveys-Texas
Drug Survey, provided by Texas A&M. Violence
Prevention survey.
