This six weeks, we look forward to learning about Martin Luther King Jr., as well as many other famous black Americans as we research their biographies.  Each child will choose a black American to write a biography on as we celebrate Black History Month in February.  

            We are also working very hard to prepare for the TAKS tests.  Reading and Math tests will be in March and April so continue to read with your child and work on problem solving skills.  

            The 100th day of school is coming up and the third graders will be collecting 100 objects and creating different models and scenes with these objects.  

            Don't forget about our field trip to the Farmers Branch Historical Park in March.
