Vision and hearing screening (with height and weight) will be done on students in kindergarten, first, third, and fifth grade plus all new students. If a child failed a screening, a referral was sent home to the parent advising further testing.

New immunization laws went into effect this school year. In order to help our fifth graders comply with the new requirements, Dallas County Health Department will provide an immunization clinic at Carrollton Elementary in October. The fifth grade student is able to obtain the needed immunizations if their parent completed the special forms that were sent home and returned them to me.
