About Our School |
Ambassadors
Fourth grade students serve as courtesy patrol during the morning hours from 7:30 - 8:00. They are selected to work for a period of two weeks by their fourth grade teachers. Ambassadors are assigned to particular post throughout the campus. Their responsibilities include opening doors, greeting, and giving directions to students and visitors who enter the building. The sponsor is Mr. Scott Erickson. The Carrollton Marketplace The Carrollton Marketplace is run by fifth grade students who work each morning from 7:50 - 8:00 selling school supplies. Mrs. Schlossstein is the sponsor. The moneymade from the school store will be used to purchase picnic tables and plants for the outside area by Kindergarten. The GREEN Team The GREEN Team consists of fourth and fifth grade students. The main objectives of the GREEN TEAM are to recycle paper, recycle cans, plant flowers and plants, and pick up trash around the campus. Officers are elected and meetings are held once a month to discuss plans for the month. GREEN TEAM members help the staff and students at Carrollton Elementary become aware of environmental issues. In April, we celebrate Earth Day by having all day activities outside along with a hotdog cookout. The sponsors are Mrs. Schlossstein and Mrs. Reavis. Lion Leaders Lion Leaders are fifth
grade students who have exhibited outstanding performance in several areas.
They are chosen every six-weeks by 5th grade teachers. Teachers choose
students who are trustworthy, show pride in school and work, are
courteous and respectful of others, and who are productive team members.
Mrs. Johnston is the sponsor.
Unity Club This fifth grade school
and community organization was established during the 1995 - 1996 school
year. Students are elected for office positions and monthly meetings are
held. The sole purpose of this club is to promote "unity." Therefore this
club meets to plan, organize, and implement school and community
service projects (such as the canned food drive) which will bring students
and people of the community together. Club sponsor is Chrissy Martin.
