Where does the money go?
Every school in C-FB ISD benefits from Educational Foundation programs that train teachers, provide equipment, pilot projects and offer new instructional experiences to students of all ages. Student scholarships administered through the Educational Foundation provide opportunities for C-FB ISD graduating seniors. The Board of Directors has final approval of program awards as recommended by its Allocations Committee. Each request undergoes an extensive review process.

A Vision for the Future
To create a perpetual source of funds, the Educational Foundation Board of Directors has established a financial relationship with the Dallas Foundation. The initial investment of $180,000 was made this year. These funds accrue interest, generating financial support for programs. The Foundation's goal is to reach $1 million by the year 2010. The endowment will fund enhanced education opportunities through the use of teacher and student scholarships as well as grants for teachers, students and campuses for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD for years to come. With regular deposits, as of August 2004, the fund exceeds $230,000.

Donor Levels
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation complements the learning experiences found in C-FB ISD classrooms. These levels are recognized on the Giving Tree, located in the C-FB ISD Administration Building, 1445 North Perry Road, Carrollton. Donors are also recognized in the AppleGram, the Foundation's quarterly newsletter. The Foundation recognizes accruing funds so that a donor may move to the next level as annual gifts increase:
