NSHS Band Makes State 4A Marching Contest Finals

Newman Smith Band had an excellent preliminary performance at the State Marching Contest on Nov. 3 in San Antonio and made it to the finals competition. The end of the day, the band placed 6th overall in State. There were 240 bands in the competition, meaning that Newman Smith in the top 2%. A fantastic job by the 200 member band and the three directors; Mr. Centera, Mr. Parks, and Mr. Rein.
