C-FB ISD Special Education Students Get
Head Start on Holiday Shopping, Thanks to Target On Dec. 2, the Target store located at Josey
Lane and the President George Bush
Turnpike hosted a holiday party for Special
Education students in C-FB ISD. The store opened their doors early
just for the students and their families to get started on their
holiday shopping. Target employees greeted students, were dressed up
in holiday attire and handed out balloons. Band
members from Dan F. Long Middle School played Christmas music for the attendees and students stood in line for an opportunity to sit on Santa's lap and visit with him and Mrs. Claus.
The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District has taken steps to become increasingly efficient at integrating technology in the classroom. C-FB ISD has joined forces with Atomic Learning, a nationally respected provider of web-based software training.
The service will be implemented in three areas: staff development, as a curriculum supplement, and as a resource for parents of school-age children. That means educators, students, and their families can access Atomic Learning from school or home, all day, everyday.
