Kacie’s Run

Due to inclement weather and with the care and safety of our C-FB ISD community in mind, Kacie’s Run 2013 was cancelled. We appreciate all those who showed their generous support for our C-FB ISD All Stars Special Olympics team by registering to participate in the event. This event will not be rescheduled. We hope to see you next year for Kacie’s Run 2014. For those participants unable to pick up their event t-shirt, you may do so this week, Tuesday, March 26 thru Thursday, March 28, at Tommy Standridge Stadium, 1330 W Valwood Pkwy, Carrollton, TX, 75006, between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Additional t-shirts may also be purchased at this time for $10 each. Thank you again for your support.

Benefitting the All Stars Special Olympics Team of C-FB ISD.

Honoring a Legacy of Love

As an R. L. Turner High School freshman, Kacie Brekhus became involved in the Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics.  As a senior, she served as the student coordinator. Kacie died in a traffic accident in October 2003 while a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin.

No pets allowed.

How to show your support

  • Participate in the 5K Run or 1 Mile Family Fun Run
  • Register your team (friends, co-workers or family) for the 5K race and be eligible for Team Awards
  • Become a Friend of Kacie and get your name on the back of the event shirt

First Place Team (largest team/most participants registered)
Team Spirit Award (wear costumes and show enthusiasm)
Top 3 Male and Female in the following age categories:
12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59 & over

Chronotrack timing will be used at this event.  You must wear a tag to be timed and eligible for awards.
