2003 Bond Referendum
Information on this section of C-FB ISD’s website was created during the 2003 Bond Referendum process to serve as an information tool for the community. This section will continue to be available as the district progresses through the construction phases of the $300.1 million bond referendum projects.
We will keep the community informed about various phases of the bond referendum construction projects through our “Bond Updates” in this section. CFB-TV will also provide periodic video updates the “C-FB ISD Bond Dollars at Work.”
We also invite you to sign up for the district’s e-newsletters so that you can stay up-to-date about the district’s construction program as well as other news, achievement and projects.
The Board of Trustees called a bond referendum for the following reasons:
- Provide additional classrooms for more students
- Modernize older facilities
- Upgrade and expand technology for students and teachers
- Complete master renovation plans at R. L. Turner and Newman Smith High Schools.
The $300,165,000 bond election provides the following:
