Functions and Roles
The Research, Planning and Evaluation department has six primary roles.
- Manage administrative functions for all state and most nationally administered test materials.
- Interpret the district, campus, classroom and individual student results of all state and nationally administered tests.
- Interpret laws, rules and guidelines and provide training for the administration of state and national tests.
- Interpret and analyze the student performance accountability structures, regulations, data and reports associated with both state and federal law.
- No Child Left Behind and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) – Federal
- Academic Excellence Indicators System (AEIS) – Texas
- Performance-Based Monitoring Analysis System–Texas
- Provide leadership and administrative oversight of district long range planning to include the development, periodic review, dissemination and evaluation of progress related to specific plans.
- Program evaluations designed to monitor efficient and effective implication of academic programs and the degree to which the programs achieve their stated goals.
