The One-Way Bilingual program during 2012-2013 is a full-time instructional program in which Spanish and English are used for instruction. Students learn the same curriculum as the native English speakers. Students in PreKinder, Kinder, First, Second, Third bilingual and Fourth One-Way classrooms receive 50% of their instruction in English and 50% of their instruction in Spanish. Language Arts and Social Studies are taught in Spanish, while Math and Science are taught in English. In grade 5 the amount of English increases as the student acquires academic proficiency.
