There are four areas of this department working as one to solve problems that arise with the HVAC-R equipment.

1. The heating and air conditioning service area repairs any problems with heating or cooling.
2. The refrigeration area repairs freezers, coolers, milk boxes, ice cream boxes and ice machines.
3. The CSI computer controls for building energy management systems controlled by computer.
4. Preventative maintenance area handles filters, checks belts, bearings, motors, and pulleys on heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment.

All of the above have to do with comfort and temperature. There are three things that causes equipment failure or non-performance

1. Climate
2. Age of equipment
3. Human intervention
