Non-Bond Project

LaVillita Elementary School - $14.0 million.  This is a new elementary school being planned for the far western part of the District.  In conjunction with a Tax Increment Finance Zone (TIF),  funds have been deposited into a dedicated account to provide for this school.  The District previously purchased the site using TIF funds.  The area is now under development, and construction began in the summer of 2007.  Completion is expected in the summer of 2008.
