How You Can Participate
The district’s residents are encouraged to communicate with Board members and the staff and to be involved in their schools. Any person wishing to discuss a matter with the Board may place an item on the agenda by sending or delivering a request to the Superintendent’s Office in the Administration Building. Upon receipt of the request, the item will be placed on the next agenda and will be posted for public notice in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law.
When speaking at the meetings, citizens are asked to stand at the podium microphone. Individuals are requested to state their names and addresses before they begin their remarks.
Individuals who have questions, suggestions or concerns are encouraged to first contact the appropriate staff member. If the item concerns a particular school, the teacher or the principal should be contacted. If questions still remain, patrons may contact the appropriate central administrator. By following these procedures, citizens generally receive prompt informed answers.
