Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD seniors taking the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the American College Test (ACT) out-performed students taking the exam throughout the state and nation. Dr. Bobby Burns, superintendent of schools, said, ”Our district is focused on high achievement for all students including college readiness. We will continue to prepare and equip our students with college readiness skills.”

The SAT is administered by the College Board and is designed to measure the critical reading, math, and writing aptitudes of high school students. The SAT takers are self-selected; that is, any student may opt to take the exam.
