The federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law requires districts to provide parents a report card detailing student achievement as well as information about the professional qualifications of teachers. Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is the accountability system for NCLB.
The state’s Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) is the accountability system for Texas.
